Fun day at Old Glossop Cricket Club

A charity gala was held at the cricket club last year.

You can bring the summer holidays to a close with a relaxed, fun day for all the family at Old Glossop Cricket Club.

The fun takes place on Sunday 4 September when the club will be holding their OGCC Big Bash event.

In association with Paul Hardy, councillor for Old Glossop, this community event is raising money for local causes.

It starts at noon, with entry just £1 for adults, and under 16s are free.

There will be a sponsors’ round-robin six-a-side cricket tournament throughout the day, including junior and ladies’ teams.

There will be a variety of craft stalls and kids’ activities on offer – a bouncy castle, face painter, raffle, tombola, ice cream van, Roy Green’s BBQ, Thornbridge Brewery and the Pennine Gin Wagon.

The bar will be open all day for drinks and food, with cream teas, ploughman’s lunches, and a selection of home-made cakes available to buy.

There will be live music throughout the day from local musicians.

All proceeds from the event will go to Bradbury House Community Centre, and towards OGCC’s new practice facilities. All are welcome.
