Gamesley‘s local store ‘One Stop’ lends helping hand to Glossopdale Foodbank

Glossopdale Foodbank extends its heartfelt appreciation to the staff of One Stop and the wider Gamesley community for their remarkable generosity in supporting the local Foodbank.

Goods totalling £234.90 from the counter collection box, were handed over by Teisha Baker from the One Stop to Liz Kearslake, Glossopdale Foodbank’s new manager.

“The one stop also has bags which are marked up with the cost of the contents they contain that can be purchased by customers while they are shopping.” Teisha explained, “And these contents are then also donated to the Foodbank .”

One Stop and the Gamesley community have demonstrated commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Their generosity is helping provide the critical support that Glossopdale Foodbank needs as more and more people are finding it difficult to make ends meet and are relying on foodbanks.

“As Glossopdale Foodbank continues to provide essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity,” Liz said,”we would like to extend our thanks to all the people who continue to donate food in the local supermarkets or provide financial donations.”
