Glossop-based charity welcomes Amazon donation

Glossop-based charity PCrefurb has been given a funding boost thanks to a £5,000 donation from Amazon.

The donation has been made as part of the online giant’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.

Welcoming the support from the Amazon team based in Manchester Helen Melhuish, from PCrefurb said: “Support like this helps our team provide a high standard of digital inclusion and support to vulnerable people in our community.”

The donation will go towards supporting people back into employment by providing them with loan devices and advice on digital skills training and support.

Andrea Ravnik, Amazon in the Community UK lead at Amazon, said: “The work the group does to educate vulnerable people on how to improve their IT skills is important and we hope this donation helps the community group continue to provide its excellent services.”
