He's written thousands of stories, covered countless events and worked through many changes in the world of journalism over the years.
But after almost six decades of serving the communities he cares deeply about, David Jones is finally closing his notebook and putting down his keyboard to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
David always wanted to be a journalist and his dream came true at the age of 20. More than 50 years later, his undoubted enthusiasm, passion and dedication to the job that he loves has never faded.
A stalwart of Glossopdale, the 77-year-old is a much-loved figure in the area he calls home, and his wealth of local knowledge has always shone through in his reporting.
From everyone at Quest Media Network, we wish David a long, healthy and enjoyable retirement.
Thank you for everything, David!
