Glossop man assaults neighbour who asked to turn his music down

A Glossop man has been handed a community order after assaulting a neighbour who asked him to turn his music down.

James Riley assaulted the woman, who is in her 30s, after she asked him to turn the music down that he was playing in his garden bar in Hunter’s Lane just before midnight on Saturday, May 6 last year.

The 53-year-old repeatedly grabbed the woman’s arm and wrist after refusing to turn the music down.

He was arrested and later admitted assaulting the woman at court.
