Glossop Mountain Rescue Team called out for incident near Tintwistle

The team were contacted at 3:22pm by North West Ambulance Service to assist in an incident on Tuesday.

A female mountain biker had taken a fall on a track near Tintwistle. The team attended with the paramedics and evacuated the casualty in our 4x4 ambulance to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.

12 team members were involved and the team stood down at 5:23pm. 

The team said: "We’d also like to thank the farmer for supporting us with this incident, including helping to transfer the paramedics to the casualty.

Wish the casualty a speedy recovery."

United utilities also helped evacuating the casualties friends and bicycles back to the roadside.
