Glossop teacher has it all mapped out

A Glossop teacher likes maps so much that she's commissioned an artist to create one on her living room wall.

Nicole Redican has asked Manchester artist David Gee who works under the name ‘Dave Draws’, for a bespoke map of Hadfield on the chimney breast of her home in Hadfield.

She became familiar with Dave’s work after seeing it on Instagram on several locations in Manchester and decided to get in touch.

Dave, who comes from Manchester and has drawn a ‘doodle’ map of Glossop, will carry out the two day commission early next month.

Nicole said: “I was particularly interested in having a map on my wall as I love maps.

“I studied geography at university and I am geography co-ordinator at Duke of Norfolk Primary School.”

Nicole has been teaching key workers’ children every day this term throughout the lockdown, and always wearing her Dave Draws’ mask.
