Glossopdale Foodbank is in need of your help

With the festive season in full swing, Glossopdale Foodbank is appealing for your help so it can support those in need in the lead up to Christmas.

The area's main foodbank is asking residents to pop an extra item in their basket or trolley when in the supermarket.

Items the foodbank is in need of are tinned carrots, tinned macaroni, tinned ravioli, 500g packets of rice, bars of soap and jars of jam.

Donations can be left in collection baskets located in Tesco Glossop, M&S Glossop, the Co-op on Pennine Road in Simmondley, Glossop Wholefoods on Norfolk Square, NatWest bank on High Street West, Glossop Leisure Centre on High Street East, Bradbury Community House on Market Street or you can deliver any items direct to the foodbank's base at Unit 5 at Brookfield Industrial Estate between 9am and 11am Monday to Friday.

Cash donations can also be made through the foodbank's JustGiving page at https://localgiving.org/charity/glossopdalefoodbank/
