Glossopdale Labour councillors to hold virtual surgery

Glossopdale Labour councillors will be holding their shoppers surgery as usual this Saturday (28 November) but it will be slightly different to normal.

Due to the current lockdown, they will be hosting it virtually via Zoom from 10.30am to 11.30am.

You can access it by visiting https://tinyurl.com/GlossopdaleCouncillors.

The councillors who will be in attendance are:

  • Anthony Mckeown (who represents Gamesley Ward)
  • Ollie Cross (who represents Padfield Ward)
  • Graham Oakley (who represents Whitfield Ward)
  • Stewart Gardner (who represents Simmondley Ward),
  • Damien Greenhalgh and Rachel Abbotts (who represent Howard Town Ward)
  • Rob Baker (who represents Tintwistle Ward)
  • County Councillor Becki Woods who represents Etherow Division (Gamesley, Hadfield and Tintwistle)

Cllr Damien Greenhalgh said: "This month's surgery will be a bit different to our usual physical surgeries at the Market Arcades. Although we’ve been busy with enquiries from constituents using Facebook, email and phone calls, we know a number of constituents prefer to meet face to face. That’s why we’ve adapted the virtual surgery idea. So, if anyone would like some advice, support or you just fancy a natter pop into our Councillor's Zoom Surgery and say hello via this link https://tinyurl.com/GlossopdaleCouncillors."

People who can't attend Saturday's virtual surgery can find details on how to get in touch with their councillor on Facebook, as well as http://www.highpeak.gov.uk/ for borough councillors and http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk for county councillors.

If you are not sure whether it’s something your local councillors can help with, you can still attend the virtual surgery and ask.
