Going blue for Blythe House

High Peak families, friends and workmates are being invited to 'Go Blue' as part of an exciting new hospice appeal.

Blythe House Hospicecare is launching #GoBlueForBlytheHouse to encourage members of the community to wear blue clothing or fancy dress and donate money to support patient care and services. 

Freya and Ethan Cawthorn-Morris are asking their friends at Chapel-en-le-Frith C of E VC Primary School involved in the campaign. 

Their mum, Charlotte Cawthorn began attending Blythe House in 2018, following her breast cancer diagnosis. 

Colleagues at Nestlé Waters UK on Waterswallows Lane in Buxton are also getting together to support the appeal. 

The Chapel-based complex offers outreach services to anyone affected by life-limiting illnesses across High Peak, Hope Valley and parts of the Derbyshire Dales, Staffordshire Moorlands and Cheshire. 

The new #GoBlueForBlytheHouse initiative is open to everyone including schoolchildren, students, work colleagues, and members of the public, who can choose any day throughout March to wear blue and donate to Blythe House. 

As well as dressing up in blue, businesses and other organisations might like to get involved by decorating shop windows or office space. 

Campaign organisers say people may also have bigger ideas to organise an event such as a blue coffee morning or blue-themed party!
