The High Peak's arts and culture sector have been awarded over £432,000 in grants from the Culture Recovery Fund.
This funding is part of £390 million allocated to more than 2,700 organisations across the country.
Glossop-based Carrot Productions are thrilled to receive £87,132.
In a statement on Facebook, they said: “Thanks to this funding we will now be able to carry on bringing wonderful projects to you all and support some incredibly talented people in the arts sector.”
The Buxton Opera House (pictured) is to receive £240,960, to help with plans to safely reopen. It will be used to ensure they can welcome back staff, audiences, and artists to a safe environment.
An award of £50,000 has been given to Buxton Arts Festival Ltd; £36,900 to Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust and £18,000 to Old Hall Hotel Ltd, based in Buxton.
High Peak MP Robert Largan has welcomed the latest funding awards.
He said: “I am delighted that more than £432,000 of grants have been awarded to arts and culture in High Peak.
“This is a crucial lifeline for our fantastic institutions that do so much to make our area a special place to live.”
Details of the third round of funding from the Culture Recovery Fund will be published in due course.
