High Peak Stand Up to Racism is urging people to join them on Tuesday evening (25 May) at 6pm at Norfolk Square on the first anniversary of the murder of George Floyd.
People will be taking the knee across the world in his memory and in solidarity with all those who suffer from racism and injustice.
In Glossop town centre, High Peak Stand Up to Racism will take the knee at the end of the high street and stand in silent vigil for all victims of racial injustice.
People who attend are asked to follow Covid guidelines - wear a face covering unless exempt and adhere to social distancing.
The anniversary comes just weeks after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of George Floyd's murder - an act that shocked the world and shook America to its core.
