Hadfield Nursery School say "thank-you"

The children of key workers held a minute's silence to remember our fallen frontline heroes - and have been busy making a banner and a card for Captain Tom's birthday.

The group observed the minute silence at 11am today (28th of April) with tealights and their banner, to show respect for the workers we have lost due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.

Yesterday, the team helped children make a 100th birthday card for NHS fundraising superhero Captain Tom, who raised over £29,271,644 by walking lengths of his garden.

People across the country have been marking the occasion by sending him cards, with Captain Tom having already received a whopping 125,000 of them so far!
