Hadfield residents invited to meeting to discuss anti-social behaviour

Hadfield residents are being invited to attend a surgery to outline their concerns about the spate of anti-social behaviour which has been occurring in the area.

The meeting will be on Saturday (4 September) from 10am at Hadfield Methodist Church on Station Road.

Councillors Ed Kelly, Bob Mckeown, Edward Siddall and Ollie Cross will be present, as well as a representative from Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The councillors are strongly encouraging as many local residents as possible to attend so that concerns people have can be listened to and addressed.

It follows a meeting between councillors and police on the matter which took place recently at Glossop Police Station.

There has been a rise in recent months in incidents of anti-social behaviour in the Hadfield area - with assault, criminal damage, running out in front of moving vehicles and throwing items at moving vehicles among the many incidents which have been reported to police.

Officers have stepped up patrols and have issued multiple warnings to parents to make sure they know where their children are.
