The Neighbourhood Plan for Whaley Bridge is reaching an important stage as they identify Local Green Spaces to be protected.
A list of green spaces have been looked at by the steering group and now they have a shortlist of 16.
As part of the process local residents are being invited to complete a questionnaire to give their thoughts and can also attend informal drop-in events being held over the next few weeks.
The first is on Saturday, 31 July, at the Whaley Wharf Weekend at the Transhipment Warehouse from 10am.
There will also be a drop-in event at the Uniting Church from 3.30pm to 8pm on Thursday 5 August, and at Furness Vale Community Centre on Tuesday 10 August from 2pm until 4pm.
Vision4Whaley will consider all the responses after the consultation closes on 15 August.
They will then determine a final list of areas to be designated as Local Green Spaces in the Neighbourhood Plan.

Meanwhile, the Neighbourhood Plan's draft policies are complete and ready to send to the High Peak Borough Council.
