Sustainable Hayfield will host a talk with an internationally renowned climate scientist this week.
Professor Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change at Manchester University, will give a talk entitled ‘COP26 – What The World Needs Now and How We Can All Help’.
Sustainable Hayfield Chair Cath Moss said: “We’re excited to have a speaker of Professor Anderson’s quality and authority addressing our local audience.
“His passion and scientific insights will be invaluable and ensure an evening of rich ideas, with some focus on what we can all do to address the biggest challenge of our times.”
Professor Anderson’s illustrated presentation will focus on what the science is now saying we need to do to halt climate change, and what we can expect from the COP26 international gathering in Glasgow in November.
The talk will take place on Thursday 16 September via Zoom, immediately after Sustainable Hayfield's very brief AGM, starting at 7.30pm.
It’s open to all and is free. Anyone wishing to join in can register via sustainablehayfielduk@gmail.com when they’ll be given the Zoom code for the meeting.
