Health team's heartfelt thanks to Glossop Cricket Club

Glossop Cricket Club, where the vaccination rollout has been taking place.

As Glossop's Covid vaccination centre prepares to move to a new location at the end of the month, heartfelt thanks have been given to all those involved with Glossop Cricket Club.

Since December last year, the cricket club has been the main venue used for the vaccination programme in Glossopdale.

The final day at Glossop Cricket Club will be 30 October. From 1 November, the clinic will be relocating to Unit 2-3 Glossop Brook Road, directly opposite Glossop North End FC.

Dr Veena Jha, Clinical Director of the Glossop Primary Care Network, speaking on behalf of all the staff of the PCN, practices in Glossop and the wider community, said: “I wanted to thank Glossop Cricket Club and all the committee members (Club officers) for their amazing support they have offered since December last year.

“They were awesome, they couldn’t do enough for us, and their support has been greatly appreciated.”

She said the club had done everything they could to offer help and support to the PCN team and especially wanted to thank Alan Garlick, Ian Robinson, and Julia Coates.
