Victoria Hall on Talbot Street is being put in the spotlight with its upcoming heritage week, giving visitors the opportunity to look around the Grade 2 listed building that previously held Glossop library.
The open day, which takes place next Tuesday (September 17) from 10am to 2pm asks the public to share their fondest memories of the place, before it hosts a week full of events.
Starting this Saturday with a heritage gardening group, the week continues with a talk on Wednesday from 7-9pm by Glossop Heritage Trust on the history of the building, followed by a talk the next day by Michael Howarth on Glossop’s connection to LS Lowry.
The hall will be open on Saturday, September 21 for visitors - ending with a ticketed musical evening featuring the Cellar Katz running from 7-11pm. For details visit www.heritageopendays.org.uk
