High number of Buxton Fringe entries for 2022

Buxton Fringe is celebrating having 168 entries for 2022 and will be marking the publication of its printed programme at a special party.

It is the first time the traditional Fringe programme has been published since 2019 and features 52 pages of performances and live events in every available category.

The programme is free and will be available from the beginning of June at locations including the Buxton Visitor Centre as well as at the programme party itself.

Fringe chair Stephen Walker said: “The Fringe is back to full strength with a programme full to bursting with exciting performances and exhibitions, and we're looking forward to sharing the programme with our audiences on 4 June.”

The open-to-all party is from 7-9pm on Saturday 4 June at the Green Man Gallery and will include food and drink plus, starting at 7.15pm, performances by folk trio Rare Occasion and comic stars Angela Bra and Henry Churniavsky.

The Fringe will run from July 6 to 24 in parallel with Buxton International Festival.
