The Mayor of the High Peak and the borough's MP are set to go head-to-head when they captain the two teams who will be taking part in the High Peak Charity Bowls Match this weekend.
Manor Park Bowling Club say it is proud to be hosting the event on Sunday (14 August) that will be raising money for the Mayor's Charities, which are Glossopdale Foodbank, High Peak Community Arts and The Hummingbird Project.
Members of the public are invited to go along to the bowls club to cheer on the teams and donate some money towards the charities - there will be a collection on the day and a small raffle.
Running from 10am to 1pm, club members will be playing in the friendly six-a-side singles match captained by Councillor Ollie Cross, Mayor of High Peak and High Peak MP Robert Largan.
Cllr Cross and MP Largan will then face off in a fun and friendly bowls match at the end.
Cllr Ollie Cross said: "I'm incredibly grateful to Manor Park Bowling Club for agreeing to host and organising this event.
"You couldn't wish for a more beautiful setting. It would be great if as many folk as possible could pop along to cheer on the teams and raise some funds for the this year's Mayoral Charities."
They hope that the captains will play in a fun and friendly bowls match at the end. The club will award a trophy to both of the teams at the end of the match.
There will be refreshments and cakes available.
If any individual or organisation would like to kindly donate raffle prizes to help raise money for the Mayoral charities, you can get in touch with Cllr Cross on 07813 969399.
