High Peak planning applications round-up

Have a read of our latest round-up of planning applications which have been submitted to, and approved by, High Peak Borough Council.

A number of planning applications have been submitted to the borough council, which include: 

  • Installation of gates to rear and side of property to a height of 6ft at 179 Wharfdale, Low Leighton Road, New Mills 
  • Proposed single storey rear extension at 15 Shrewsbury Street, Glossop 
  • Removal of existing yurt at end of campsite to be replaced with family camping pod unit. Extension to toilet block to allow for washing/utility room at Owlgreave Farm Campsite, Combs Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith       
  • Erection of new Agricultural Building to support continued agricultural use of the site to provide animal shelter and storage for farming equipment at Little Padfield Farm, Little Padfield, Glossop 
  • External metal stairs from the third-floor rear window to the ground 2A Market Street, Whaley Bridge 
  • Two single storey extensions to either side of the house to create additional family living space at Overhill House, on the unnamed road from Long Hill to Goyt Vale Cottages, Fernilee 
  • Retrospective application for retention of a domestic outbuilding at Owlgreave Farm, Combs Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith  
  • Part retrospective application to erect a shed and greenhouse for the propagation of tree saplings and provide a parking area on land north of 25 Bings Road, Whaley Bridge 

Plans approved 

Plans that have been given the go ahead and approved by High Peak Borough Council include: 

  • Demolition of existing house and re-building of replacement dwelling at 63 Hague Street, Glossop 
  • Single storey extension to front of the property and garage conversion to form home office at 16A, Cowbrook Avenue, Glossop 
  • Proposed Rear dormer loft conversion at 37 Elnor Lane, Whaley Bridge 
  • Rear dormer, single storey rear extension and alterations to doors and windows at 39 Buxton Road, Chinley 
  • Conversion of outbuilding to provide ancillary accommodation at Torino, St Marys Road, New Mills 
  • Single storey home office to the side of the house at 85A The Shire, Simmondley Village, Simmondley, Glossop 
  • Proposed construction of a single storey detached orangery and a single storey outbuilding at Ollersett Farm, Laneside Road, New Mills
