High Peak planning applications round-up

We've collated the latest planning applications submitted to, approved by and refused by High Peak Borough Council.

A number of planning applications have been submitted to High Peak Borough Council, which include: 

  • Two storey side extension at 1 Princes Road, Chinley 
  • Construction of a single storey rear extension and side extension, front porch, and conversion of the existing garage into living accommodation at 10 Forge Corner, Outram Way, Chinley 
  • Retrospective application for a retaining wall and close boarded timber fence on land at the boundary of Plots 126-129, 16-19 Hadfield Drive, Chinley 
  • Proposed garage conversion at 11 Meadows Road, Hayfield 
  • Two storey extension to the rear and a change of use for the first floor to a self-contained flat at 88 High Street West, Glossop 

Plans approved 

Plans that have been given the go ahead and approved by High Peak Borough Council include: 

  • Conversion of loft level of bungalow including windows to gables and a dormer extension at 2 Craig Drive, Whaley Bridge 
  • Single storey rear extension, two storey side extension and new entrance 16 Heatherlea, Dinting Road, Glossop 
  • Listed building consent for replacement of 5no. existing beaver-tailed glass panels in the conical domed North Entrance at Buxton Opera House, Water Street, Buxton 
  • First floor extension over garage at 8 Pinfold, Hadfield, Glossop 
  • Erection of two storey side extension and single storey rear extension at 4 Lee Vale Drive, Charlesworth 
  • Single storey side extension at Winterhill Farm, Padfield Main Road, Padfield, Glossop 

Plans refused 

A number of applications have been refused by High Peak Borough Council. 

Plans for a new access and track at Thornsett Fields Farm, off Briargrove Road in Birch Vale, have been turned down. 

The erection of a split level dwelling house, associated works, access, landscaping, and removal of a tree on land adjacent to 34 Kinder Road in Hayfield has also been rejected. 

Proposals for extensive extensions and alterations at 1 Royle Avenue in Glossip have been refused. The application included a single storey side extension as well as a two-storey rear extension and loft room. 

Meanwhile, an application to build a two-storey extension and covert the garage at 26 Wood Gardens in Hayfield has also been rejected.
