High Peak Green New Deal is hosting a series of speakers this Sunday (19 September) to talk about Climate Justice.
Entitled 'For a Fairer Future: Achieving Climate Justice with Racial and Social Justice', the meeting will take place on Zoom from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Cath Hughes, from the group, said: "We have worked with High Peak Stand Up to Racism and a Derbyshire Dales Climate Action group to bring together some wonderful speakers."
The speakers will be Dorothy Grace Guerrero, Head of Policy, Global Justice Now; Ify Ekemezie, Young Friends of the Earth; Charlotte Lastoweckyi, Youth Strike 4 Climate Manchester; and Esohe Ozigbo, Greenfingers Changemakers, Lagos, Nigeria.
Esohe is only 15 but has been collecting plastic waste since she was nine years old, and was one of the instigators of a 'Trashion Show' which has massively changed awareness in Nigeria.
