A Covid-secure sweet stall has been set up in Chapel-en-le-Frith for Halloween, with donations encouraged to support Blythe House Hospicecare.
The Halloween Trick and Pick stall is at the end of Eccles Fold, close to the hospice's home.
It will be in place between 9am and 4pm today (Wednesday), Thursday and Friday.
A local resident ordered lots of sweets for their wedding this year and although they were able to tie the knot, it was not the big wedding day they had planned due to the pandemic, so they had lots of sweets left over.
Given that Halloween will not be taking place as usual for lots of local children this year, the pots of sweets will be available for people to collect for free to enjoy the celebrations.
The table is Covid-secure and clean, with all necessary precautions taken to ensure cleanliness between visits; clear instructions about choosing a pot, and using the hand sanitiser and wipes available.
The sweets are free but if you wish to donate online to support the hospice, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/halloweentrickandpick.
