Not-for-profit group G52 is creating its very own meals on wheels service.
Chef Kerry Halliwell is making 60 hot meals a week at Gamesley Community Hub on Winster Mews, while co-volunteer Karina Finn delivers them.
She also listens to anyone’s concerns, helps the mainly elderly or vulnerable customers get additional support or just sits down for a friendly and always welcome chat.
Hot meal days are Tuesdays and Fridays and there’s always a good feed back.
Chicken and beef dinners are particular popular.
G52 co-ordinator Pat Javanaud said: "There are 30 meals each day, really warming food. We are very aware of older people and we want to make sure they are well fed."
