Police are appealing for information after hotel staff were abused and water fountains damaged during an anti-social behaviour spree.

Four youths with their faces covered are alleged to have stormed into the Old Hall Hotel in Buxton - England's oldest hotel, dating back to the 16th century - where they shouted at workers at 5:50pm on Thursday, December 19.

In a separate incident, hundreds of pounds of damage was done to water fountains on The Crescent.

One of the suspects has received a letter warning of their future conduct, however, a spokesperson for the Derbyshire Constabulary said: “Officers are continuing their investigations and would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who has information about either of the incidents.
