How you can star in Cinderella at New Mills Art Theatre

This is your chance to feature in the classic tale of Cinderella, which will be given the full pantomime treatment at New Mills Art Theatre.

The Jodrell Street theatre is holding a get-together meeting to find out more about the panto and meet the production team.

It’s being held at the theatre on Monday 6 September at 7.30pm.

People will be able to find out about auditioning for a role in the performance or even behind-the-scenes production opportunities.

Returning to the Art Theatre are Rob Brittles as Director and Cathryn Yates as Choreographer. Also, they welcome their new Musical Director, Claire Sweeney, who was MD for the successful production of the Sound of Music at the Art Theatre in 2019.

The Theatre team will talk about the story of Cinderella, characters, music, choreography and will answer any questions.

Auditions will be held later in September and the dates will be announced at the get-together.

Cinderella, by Alan Frayn, will run over two weekends - with performances on 28th, 29th and 30th January and 4th and 5th February 2022.

After the success of the Theatre’s last panto, Hansel and Gretel, they picked up three Association of Community Theatre awards: Stewart Bowden for the Most Creative Comic Portrayal; our Company for the Most Accomplished Adult Ensemble and Ross Provart, the Debut Award in a Non-Principal Role.

For anyone who would like more information or is unable to attend the meeting, a friend or family member can register for you, or you can contact the Arts Theatre on 07983 344 862 or email friendsofthearttheatre@gmail.com
