
A farmer who suffered severe injuries in a quadbike accident was airlifted to hospital on Saturday evening (31 July).
It is believed the farmer had been out rounding up his sheep before taking a tumble which resulted in the quad bike landing on top of him.
Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist the Yorkshire Air Ambulance with the extraction of the injured farmer from near the Woodhead Pass.
Once the casualty was on his way to hospital a team member stayed to help finish off rounding up the sheep.
