Glossop's heroes of the hills were summoned to Pennine Way, near to Hern Clough, to help a man who had fallen.
Glossop Mountain Rescue Team were called out by the duty controller on Thursday evening (25 August) to assist.
The team headed in from Snake Summit and were quickly with the man, who had sustained a lower right arm fracture.
They gave him pain relief and splinted the injured arm before he walked back to Snake Summit to be taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service.
The team stood down at around 7.35pm.
