A new event is being held, designed to mark the changing season and give the audience a taste of what to expect in Buxton Fringe's festival taking place in July.
The line-up for Springboard - being held at Buxton’s Green Man Gallery, on Saturday 19 March from 7pm to 9pm - has just been announced.
Singing group Four Tell, folk artist Chris Milner and hilarious Beat poets The Glummer Twins will be offering extracts from their Fringe shows at the open-to-all party.
Fringe chair Stephen Walker said: “As we emerge from Covid restrictions, we're delighted to be running our first event of the year and providing a Springboard for the Fringe to come.
“It's a great opportunity to see some Fringe favourites, catch up with our plans for the year and find out more about the Fringe.”
Food and drink will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity for performers, audience members, Fringe Friends, supporters, and volunteers to mingle and chat.
In a nod to last year’s floral orange ‘hotspots’ around the town, the Green Man stage will be decorated with orange flowers and the performers have been invited to incorporate the theme of spring into their acts.
As a charity run entirely by volunteers, the Fringe is always looking for help and hopes that new people may want to get involved or become Fringe Friends.
