Love Glossop Winter Art Trail - ending the year with a sparkle of creativity

Glossop Creates have ended 2021 with a flourish as they produced the Love Glossop Winter Art Trail.

The Trail - which is on until 3 January 2022 - has seen 24 independent businesses team up with a number of local artists to turn the town into a festive canvas.

The artists have added a sparkle of creativity to Glossop’s town centre by turning shop or venue windows into works of art.

Funded by High Peak Borough Council using the Welcome Back Fund, the trail is designed to encourage people to support local businesses during a key time for trading after another tumultuous year.

What’s next?

Glossop Creates say that everything they did in 2021 will be replicated or built upon in 2022.

So for those that missed out on network meetings, residencies and mentoring, this will be a constant strand in their practice and something to look out for next year.

They hope to expand their networks, create partnerships with neighbouring towns, and give their networks projects to focus on.

As always, they want to hear from you about your ideas and feedback, so drop them a line at hello@glossopcreates.com

The Glossop Creates team wish you a Happy Christmas and a successful 2022.
