Love is all around

Glossop League of Ladies WI's Show the Love campaign went down a storm on a rainy Saturday.

Members set up a stall in the market arcade and were handing out delicious vegan biscuits.

Their ‘Woolly Women’ had knitted and crocheted woolly green hearts, there were clay seed bombs to scatter in gardens and plants for new homes.

President Ruth Ainsworth said: “Around £60 of donations that were made on the day will be donated to The Climate Change Coalition, but the main aim of the day was for the League of Ladies to have conversations with people about how we can all make change to impact climate change.

“A huge thank you to all our ladies who participated and the people of Glossop who came to talk to us.”
