A man has been charged with drink driving after crashing into a number of vehicles in Glossop last Friday afternoon.

Justin Booth was arrested after driving a Vauxhall Mokka into several other vehicles at around 5.20pm on Glossop Brook Road, close to the junction with Wren Nest Road, on 27 September.

The 46-year-old, of Woodcock Grove in Glossop, is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 14, a spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary confirmed to the Chronicle.

An eyewitness saw three police cars at the scene on Glossop Brook Road, near to the town's Tesco store, and a police officer talking to a woman at around 5.45pm.
