A man was threatened with a knife and had a Rolex watch, a mobile phone, sunglasses and car keys stolen from a layby on the A57 Snake Pass.

It happened close to Glossop at around 11.45am on Tuesday 14 February.

The victim had stopped his car in the layby when another vehicle, described as an old style bright green Vauxhall Corsa, pulled alongside him.

Two men got out of the Corsa and approached the victim, a man in his 20s. After speaking for a few minutes, one of the men threatened the victim with a knife and stole his Rolex watch, mobile phone and sunglasses as well as his car keys.

The men also attempted to steal his car, an Audi RS7, but were unsuccessful and fled the scene in the Corsa.

Police investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 11.30am and noon on 14 February and has dashcam footage, as well as anyone who may have seen a green Vauxhall Corsa in the area.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with police by calling 101, through the website at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/ or a private message on social media, quoting the reference 23*94934.
