Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of an investigation into an assault in Glossop.
They received a call reporting that a man had been attacked in High Street West at 9.30pm on Thursday 15 June.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was assaulted by a group of youths and struck over the head with a weapon, leaving him with a cut to the back of his head.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, especially a person seen in the area at the time of the incident wearing a red hoodie.
