Police are investigating after a man sustained facial injuries during an alleged assault in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
It is reported to have happened between around 10.30pm and 11pm on Friday 27 August on Market Street, near to the Morrison’s petrol station.
Derbyshire Constabulary say a man in his 30s was taken to hospital after suffering a fractured eye socket and cuts and bruises to his face.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward - including a man and a woman who are believed to have stopped and offered to help the victim at the time.
