A man was taken to hospital with injuries after a collision involving a motorbike and a van on the A624 Chunal.
Derbyshire Constabulary said they were called just after 11.55am on Thursday (29 December) to Chunal Hill.
A spokesperson said a man in his 70s was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering pain to his shoulder and leg, but the injuries are not thought to be serious.
The road was closed for a while to allow for recovery of the vehicles and emergency services to deal with the scene.
The incident is understood to have happened close to the Moorfield turn-off and an air ambulance was witnessed in the area.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
