Man taken to hospital after coming off his bike in Deep Clough

An unconscious man was taken to hospital after coming off his mountain bike in Deep Clough, near to Valehouse farm. 

Glossop Mountain Rescue Team was contacted by North West Ambulance Service to assist at around 9.10pm on Wednesday evening (21 June). 

As the team arrived at the scene, the man had regained consciousness and was being treated by ambulance crew. 

He was carried by the team stretcher and transferred to a land ambulance, which took him to Tameside Hospital.

GMRT were stood down just after 10pm.
