Cash was stolen from a hotel in Buxton after a man walked in and threatened staff in the early hours of the morning.
A man entered the Buxton Crescent Hotel, in The Crescent, at about 5am on Easter Saturday (16 April).
He threatened a member of staff before making off with cash in the direction of The Slopes.
Nobody was hurt in the incident but the staff member was left understandably shaken.
The suspect was described as white, in his 50s, and of chubby build, and was wearing dark clothing including a black hoodie.
Detectives investigating the robbery are now asking for anyone with information to come forward.
Derbyshire Constabulary is urging anyone who was in the area at the time, or who lives nearby and has CCTV that could have captured the man, to get in touch.
