Manor Park bowlers help support Ukraine appeal as season starts

Competitions winners Dave Whitehead and Julie Bradbury with Luke Jones, (centre) who presented the trophy.

A new season has started at Manor Park Bowling Club in Glossop where members turned out in force last Saturday.

The first event of the season saw plenty of entries for the bowling competition, won by Dave Whitehead and Julie Bradbury.

A fundraising raffle was also help during the event that raised £160 for the Ukraine Appeal.

To help give more people an opportunity to get involved and find out more about the sport, the club is holding an Open Day on Saturday 2 April.

It is being held from 11am to 2pm and is open to anyone who wants to have a go. Equipment and help will be available on the day.

The club is also offering free membership to new members. For more details about the club, go to www.bowlingmanorpark.co.uk
