A car inadvertently crashed into a gas box on a busy Glossop road this morning (Friday).

Police and firefighters from Glossop Red Watch were called to High Street West at around 10:20am after a white Seat Ibiza, parked up on the side of the road, rolled back into a wall and bumped into a gas box.

No-one was injured in the minor collision.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire police told the Chronicle: “We were called by our colleagues at the fire service at 10:20am to reports that a car had been in a collision with the ground floor of a property.

“The car was parked outside the property, the handbrake slipped and the car rolled back into the wall, causing minor damage to the car and superficial damage to a gas box.”
