Derbyshire County Council has announced it will be closing the Snake Pass overnight on Monday and Tuesday to allow work to take place.
As part of the authority's surface dressing programme, the A57 will be closed on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 May from 7pm until 5am so pre prep work can be carried out.
The road will also be closed on Monday 6 June, this time from 9.30am until 3.30pm, for the actual surface dressing.
All of the surface dressing work is subject to change as it cannot be carried out if it rains. DCC has apologised for the inconvenience the closures will cause.
Unfortunately, the work could not be carried out when the Snake Pass was closed earlier this year as they need warmer conditions for surface dressing.
Surface dressing work has also recently been carried out on other roads in Glossopdale - including on High Street West and Henry Street.
