Mountain rescue volunteers rushed to the aid of a walker who sustained a painful injury on Mam Tor.
Buxton Mountain Rescue Team say the walker suffered a 'very painful upper arm injury' whilst enjoying a walk on the Peak District hill on Monday afternoon (4 October) at around 3pm.
Along with colleagues from Edale MRT, they established the location and made their way to the scene.
A spokesperson for Buxton MRT said: "Initial medical care was given by one of the team’s paramedics, while the stretcher was made ready for the evacuation back to the road head.
"After providing pain relief, the casualty was helped onto the stretcher and was soon back at the team vehicles to wait for the East Midlands Ambulance Service and onward transfer to hospital.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and a prompt return to complete one of the Peak District National Park’s most scenic routes. The team is also very grateful for the support of passing walkers who helped in the early stages of the incident."
It was the 70th time that Buxton MRT has been called out this year.
