Glossop's heroes of the hills were summoned to help a man who was injured whilst walking in the Hern Clough area.
Glossop Mountain Rescue Team were called out at around 11am on Thursday morning (14 April).
The man had sustained a lower leg injury following a visit to the B-29 crash site, on top of Bleaklow moorland.
Glossop MRT members were quickly on scene to give first aid to the injured man, who was then loaded on to the team's stretcher and carried back to Snake Summit from where he was able to make his own way home.
The team stood down at 1.25pm.
GMRT - which receives no direct government funding - is continuing to appeal for donations to help ensure its volunteers can continue to turn out day and night to rescue people in wild and remote places.
