Bus passengers in Glossopdale have spotted a few bus shelters have disappeared in recent weeks.

Several shelters have been removed along the bus routes in the area - including on Dinting Vale.

However, Derbyshire County Council has confirmed they will be replaced, and improvements are also being made to the pavements at the bus stops.

A spokesperson for DCC said: “We’ve removed a few bus shelters that were nearing the end of their life, but they will all be replaced in a few months.

“We’ve taken the opportunity to increase the height of the pavements at these bus stops, to make it easier for those with limited mobility to get onto the bus.

“The new bus shelters will have lighting, seating and better information about bus services in the area.”
