High Peak Borough Council is to meet for the first time since the local elections were held.
The meeting of the Council will take place on Thursday 18 May at 7.15pm at The Octagon in Buxton's Pavilion Gardens.
It is during this meeting that the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor of High Peak will be selected, and decisions will be made to determine which councillors will be on the various committees.
The council will include a large number of new councillors who won seats earlier this month.
The results gave the Labour administration a large majority, after the party won 29 of the 43 seats that make up the authority.
The political make-up of the remaining seats is as follows: 10 Conservatives, 2 Green Party, 1 Liberal Democrat and 1 Independent.
The Leader of the Council and Members to serve on the Executive will be appointed, as well as representatives to the Peak District National Park Authority and the Police and Crime Panel.
