'Superheroes' is the theme for the welcome return of New Mills Carnival on Saturday (11 June).
Following hot on the heels of celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the town can enjoy New Mills Carnival, which is back for the first time in three years.
Organisers, who rely upon support from the local community to ensure the annual event keeps running, are hoping for great weather and support as the town comes together to enjoy the festivities.
The procession will leave Market Street at 1pm and make its way down Union Road, then Albion Road, and finally Wirksmoor Road to meet the fair on Newtown Recreation Ground.
Many of the local schools, nurseries, local organisations and businesses are getting involved by taking part in the parade or by decorating their premises.
The traditional parade will feature bands, the Billerettes, floats and Carnival Queens before attention turns to the recreation field for the fun fair, a wide variety of stalls and food outlets.
Motorists are being warned that several roads in the centre of New Mills will be closed for the parade.
