Organisers of New Mills Festival are inviting the town's residents to 'show the love' over the Valentines weekend this February, by taking part in the 'Show The Love' walking trail.
People are being encouraged to make a green heart any way they want and pop it in their window or hang it from their door - or even plant a heart in their garden using Home Farm spring wheat seeds so it would be ready for the harvest later in the year.
Local artist Deborah Pitman had the idea for the trail as a way of New Mills being part of the UK-wide 'Show the Love' initiative, organised by the Climate Coalition.
Held every Friday, it's an annual celebration of everything we care about and want to protect from the worst impacts of the climate crisis, during which politicians are asked to put aside their differences and tackle the climate crisis.
The trail, which is also being supported by Transition New Mills, will be from 12 to 14 February.
