Helping Hands New Mills Foodbank is appealing for donations of items it is currently running low on.
They are in need of the following:
- Size 5 and 6 nappies
- Tins of chicken in white sauce
- Semi-skimmed UHT milk
- Jars of sandwich paste
- Orange squash
- UHT fruit juice (particularly apple)
- Tinned vegetables (especially carrots)
- Tinned tuna (particularly in spring water)
- Sponge puddings
The foodbank covers New Mills, Hayfield, Furness Vale, Chinley and Whaley Bridge.
Donation bins can be found in Sainsbury's, Co-op and Shaws Bakers in New Mills, Hayfield Village Store/Post Office in Hayfield, and Tesco in Whaley Bridge (behind the customer services desk).
