Nominate your local sporting heroes

People are being encouraged to give their local sporting heroes a chance to shine by nominating them for the latest High Peak Sports and Physical Activity Achievement Awards.

The annual awards are an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional sporting talent and achievement across the borough.

Nominations are invited for individuals, teams, coaches, community and volunteers who live, study or work in the borough.

Organisers High Peak Borough Council say it's your chance to shout about the successful sporting talents and rising sports stars of the future.

Anyone can make a nomination and the closing date is 12 January 2020.

The awards ceremony will take place at Buxton Pavilion Gardens on 5 March 2020.

You can nominate online at https://www.highpeak.gov.uk/High-Peak-Annual-Sports-Awards, where you can also download and complete an application form which you can return as per the instructions on the form.
